Kilos the taxman can’t argue with.

The travel logbook for South Africans who claim business travel. Log trips in two taps, spot unlogged kilometres before the taxman does, and export a SARS-ready logbook at tax time. It works offline, and your logbook stays on your phone.

What is TaxmanSeKilos?

Claiming business travel means keeping a logbook of every kilometre, business and private, and most people don’t keep it up. TaxmanSeKilos makes it quick enough to actually do. It’s made in South Africa, for the logbook SARS asks for.

Log a trip in two taps

Save the places you drive to (clients, the office, a building site) with their usual distance and, if you like, an address. Tap one, check the odometer reading, save. Each trip notes where it started, filled in from the trip before. Or start a trip with GPS and let the phone measure it.

Odometer readings, not guesses

Every trip runs from one odometer reading to the next, so your logbook adds up. If kilometres go missing between trips, TaxmanSeKilos shows the gap and lets you mark it as private in one tap. If you like, it reminds you on 1 March to record your odometer reading, which opens the new tax year and closes the old one, as SARS asks.

A SARS-ready logbook

At tax time, export the year as a SARS logbook spreadsheet, a workbook for your bookkeeper, or a PDF with your receipts for your accountant. Share it or email it straight from the app.

Keep your receipts

Add tolls, parking and fuel to a trip, with a photo of the receipt. They go into the export with the trip.

Yours, on your phone

No account and no sign-up. Everything is saved on your phone, and logging works without signal. No ads, no tracking, and we never see your logbook. Apart from address search, which sends what you type in an address field to Apple or Google to suggest addresses, the app sends nothing by itself.

English or Afrikaans

Switch between them in the app at any time. Several vehicles, each with its own odometer and trips.
